â–º Day 1 Fes- Midelt- Merzouga
At 8:00 am we’ll start our 4 days desert tour from Fez to Marrakech. Traveling south-east and leaving Fes behind, the first stop is made in Ifran. Also, referred to as the ‘Lion City’. Legends and folklore claim that it was in this city that the last lion of the country was sighted many moons ago. As you pass the city and move towards the south, you enter the Middle Atlas landscape with is covered with the Cedar trees. Breaks are taken throughout the day which includes a stop at Midelt. After mid-day and lunch, the journey continues towards Erfoud and Rissani. Arriving in the desert region of Merzouga provides an opportunity to relax at the hotel’s facilities and enjoy the scenic views of the sand dunes. Additionally, Before the sunset, you will travel towards the sand dunes by camel or 4×4 drive. As the sunsets in the distance, you will reach your authentic Berber tents in the desert. Your evening will be filled with a desert banquet, campfire relaxation and traditional music under bright stars, free time and overnight stay in your luxury private tent.
â–º Day 2 Merzouga desert tour
Camel ride back to the hotel, after breakfast and relaxation , drive to Hassi Lbyad visit the Oases, then drive to Khamlia village, enjoy listening and learning about the local traditionnel gnoua music, Traditionnel dish for lunch made by locals then drive back to the hotel, free time in your hotel with swiming pool facing the sand dunes. Dinner and overnight stay in Merzouga.
â–º Day 3 Merzouga - Todra Gorge- Ouarzazat
The journey continues towards west visiting the famous Todra Gorge, typicle nomadic family, Dades gorges and valley, the city of roses Elkalaa Magouna, Skoura Oases, dinner and overnight stay in Ouarzazate.
â–º Day 4 Ouazazate- Ait benhaddou- Marrakesh
After breakfast you will continue The well-known ‘ Moroccan Hollywood ’ of Ouarzazate gives you the insight of scene making of many famous films. The ancient Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is worthy to visit. Driving over the 2,260m Tizi n’ Tichka Pass and then making a drop down to the plains brings you to the end of your journey arriving in Marrakech , drop off in your accommodation.
